How do I Purchase and Activate a Data Plan?



Please note: Unlimited Data Plans do not include voice services. Voice and data services, by default, are charged at a per min or per MB rate (You can view our current rates at www.knowroaming.com under the 'Rates' section, or, within the KnowRoaming app).

1. Purchasing Data Plan

Tap the 'My Plans' on the main page of the app, then select 'Shop Plans' from the menu. Once you select the desired plan, you will receive a prompt confirming the purchase.




IMPORTANT: After completing your purchase, your data plan will not automatically activate. You have the option to activate it immediately after you purchase or you can wait to activate it later.


2. Activating Data Plan

Tap 'My Plans'  view your available plan(s) from the home screen, then select 'Activate' next to your desired plan to start it - otherwise, it will remain there on standby, waiting for you to Activate it.

 


After your data plan expires, data usage will be charged per/MB. You can purchase another data plan or activate one that you already purchased and have available in "My Plan".


Tip: To Stack / Extend Data Plan (Unlimited Data Plans)
If you have a data plan currently running and you don't want to wait until it expires to activate the next plan, you can go ahead and Activate the next plan. The next plan will stack onto the current plan, thus extending the current plan without overlap.
