The KnowRoaming Sticker is designed to remain dormant and prevent you from roaming while in your home country, but you can test your KnowRoaming Sticker at home by changing the default settings.
Follow these steps to test KnowRoaming at home:
1. Turn Reachability Off
The Reachability feature allows you to be reachable on your KnowRoaming numbers while on your home SIM. When using KnowRoaming in your home country, you must turn this feature off.
- iPhone - Open the KnowRoaming app and select the More menu > then select Settings
Then ensure the Reachability is turned to Off - Android - Open the KnowRoaming app and select the More menu > then select Settings
Then ensure the Reachability is turned to Off
2. Turn Auto Switch Off
The Auto Switch function automatically switches you back to your home SIM while at home, so you must turn this function off before using KnowRoaming in your home country.
- iPhone - Go to your Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data > SIM Applications > Auto Switch > select Off > Go back
- Android - Open the SIM Toolkit App > select Auto Switch > select Off > Go back
3. Manually Switch to KnowRoaming
- iPhone - Go to settings > Cellular or Mobile Data > SIM Applications > Manual Switch > select the first letter of your home country > select the country name > wait a few minutes to connect to the local network
Android - Open the SIM Toolkit App > Manual Switch > select the first letter of your home country > select the country name > wait a few minutes to connect to the local network
4. Test your KnowRoaming Services
- Make an outgoing call. Remember to dial the full number including country code.
- Call your KnowRoaming numbers (and your home mobile number if you enabled your "Receive my home mobile calls abroad" service)

5. Manually Switch back to your Home SIM
Now that you've tested KnowRoaming at home, you can switch back to your home SIM.
- iPhone - Go to your Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data > SIM Applications > Return to Home SIM > wait a few minutes to connect to the Home SIM network
- Android - Open the SIM Toolkit App > Return to Home SIM > wait a few minutes to connect to the Home SIM network
6. Turn Auto Switch back On
- iPhone - Go to your Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data > SIM Applications > Auto Switch > select On > Go back
- Android - Open the SIM Toolkit App > select Auto Switch > select On > Go back
7. Turn Reachability back On
The Reachability feature allows you to be reachable on your KnowRoaming numbers while on your home SIM.
